Fantastic coffee and bagels right behind check in. DJ set at night in the lobby was amazing, but the rooms don't let any sound in unless the window is open. Comfortable beds with extra pillows. Water in the shower is hot enough to wash away my stress, and very luxe haircare and bodywash to boot. Fantastic view, and a nice short walk to the subway. Staff are kind, courteous, thoughtful, professional. I didn't have to worry about a thing.

The Bad: First I had a 5 star for service, but I spent the last 10 days trying to get a hold of someone who can help me with my post-checkout credit card charge. NO WHERE during my booking, check in or check out did anyone ever mention a "destination fee." This is what the mayor is trying to get rid of - hidden junk fees that hotels throw in thinking no one will check afterwards. Everyone until now has been very nice at the hotel. Everyone tried to help. Unfortunately, Kodie and Chris S (front desk manager) decided (even after I showed them my receipt and that it was not listed anywhere) that I needed to now call the booking partner and have them call ACE to tell them that ACE should refund it. I mean, are you kidding me? Instead of doing the right thing, they are now making this mistake a giant problem for everyone around. It is so shameful and lazy and ruined my good experience there. I have now (and I suggest everyone does this) reported them to the NY General Assembly for fraud and undisclosed fees. The Good: Big thank you to Michael at the Lobby bar who trekked in during the snow storm and was just such a trooper serving the bar by himself. Then Amanda, who has a bad leg, also came in during the storm and helped at the lobby bar. Both Michael and Amanda were so great! Also thank you to Ian and Geoff who were both just super kind and helpful at the Front Desk. This is really the nicest staff I've ever encountered at a hotel. Thank you to everyone!

The views, the bar, the staff… the Ace has it all! The rooms were unique, the view was breathtaking and the staff were wonderful. It’s worth it if you want to feel like you’re in Brooklyn. It’s anything but generic, in all the wonderful ways. You won’t be disappointed! (People said you could hear the subway underneath, and while this is true, it isn’t disruptive, and you won’t get silence in this city!)

We always come back to the Ace Brooklyn and it's become like a second home to us. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the space is beautiful and well designed, the restaurant (Lele's Roman) is fantastic, the rooms are bright, beautiful, and quiet, the views are great, they have a real photo booth in the lobby, and it's close to all the best subway lines for getting into Manhattan for museums. Cannot recommend it enough.

We greatly enjoyed our stay here! The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff was very welcoming and attentive, and it’s a great location! Gerry at the front desk was so helpful when we were checking out and getting to the airport. And Amanda at the bar makes the best cocktails! Great music on weekend nights and downstairs is super fun! Will be back!

The Ace Hotel Brooklyn was such a beautiful stay and truly gave an authentic Brooklyn vibe. The location is amazing, right by a subway exit, which makes traveling by train incredibly convenient. The hotel is also a comfortable walk to and from the MetroTech area! The bar was really cute, and the rooms were chic, clean, and comfortable. I did make a mistake when booking while traveling for work, but management specifically Ron 🤎 was incredibly helpful and assisted me right away, for which I’m very grateful. The front desk staff were kind, informative, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend the Ace Hotel Brooklyn.

Wonderful hotel! Perfect location as easily accessible to the subway (literally 2 minute walk). Very comfortable and stylish rooms. Great shampoo/conditioner/ body wash! Very glad we chose to stay at the Ace Hotel! Thank you.

Great location for access to downtown Brooklyn. Easy to get to transportation. This hotel has dining options. Staff were very kind and helpful. Rooms are large for the NY area and decor is unique. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. I would stay here again.

We loved our stay at Ace . The beds are super comfortable, the room had a spectacular view, all the way to Statue of Liberty & Verazanno Bridge and the (great) location is an easy single subway ride from Penn Station. The lobby is a high energy clubby space at night with DJs. Careful before you consume any of the ample supply of room snacks/beverages though, because they’ll cost you. (And this being such a great convenient location, it’s better to go to the very local bodegas.) A couple dings to the star rating were the shower head(sputtery) and the bedside lamp(broken).
